Coding Artist was a platform where I provided visual journeys for web developers.
I hosted a popular email challenge called Daily CSS Images, wrote visually-stimulating tutorials like A Beginner's Guide to Pure CSS Images and How to Create the VueConf Load Animation (While Learning About Vue.js and SVGs in the Process), created video courses, and lastly, compiled ebooks including React.js for the Visual Learner, Learn React VR, and Full-Stack React With Phoenix.
All this content generation came at a point when I was trying to learn web technologies and find a niche for visually-stimulating development myself. Because of this, I was able to sympathize with many developers struggling to navigate through the overwhelming amounts of online resources and explain technical material in an understandable, compassionate, and fun way.
The platform also helped me make great connections with many developers.
It opened an opportunity to give a talk to a Codepen meetup in Dayton, Ohio on how to create pure CSS images. I also was able to come on to the Codepen Radio podcast for an episode about my Daily CSS Images challenge.
Creating a journey for other developers led to a journey to my current role at Rackspace Technology.
